Discover the alpine beauty of the Tour du Mont Blanc on a tailor-made walking adventure through France, Italy and Switzerland.

Escape into the heart of one of Europe’s most spectacular alpine landscapes on an extraordinary hike into the majestic Mont Blanc massif. Prepared exclusively for Peregrine Travel Centre WA clients, this unique 14-day itinerary includes rest days in each of the three countries you travel through, so you can explore the variety of cultures at your own speed. Escorted by Mike and Holly Wood, along with local guides, we are staying up high, hiking through this magnificent landscape with just our daypacks during the day and enjoying the refined comforts of premium accommodation in mountain chalets, family run hotels in small villages overnight.

Travelling across France, Italy and Switzerland, staying up high in the mountains means we spend more time immersed in these panoramic vistas and authentic local cultures, without having to travel back down the mountain each night.

Our expedition begins in the picturesque French ski resort of Les Houches, the gateway to the Chamonix valley. Walking comfortably with only your day pack, as your luggage is sent ahead, you ascend via the Bellevue cable car to witness breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks before trekking past the foot of the Bionnassay glacier.

Cross your first alpine border into Italy at the historic Col de la Seigne, descending into the dramatic valleys of Aosta. Enjoy a relaxing free day in the charming village of Courmayeur, where you can sample regional delicacies or soar to 3,500 meters on the Skyway cable car.

Journey onward into Switzerland through the idyllic Swiss Val Ferret, wandering through traditional lakeside villages like Champex, where you enjoy another free day to explore this high altitude paradise. Walk among the iconic black Hérens cows in high mountain pastures, taking in sweeping balcony views of the Rhône valley. Your path returns to France over the Col de Balme, leading to a breathtaking discovery of the Aiguilles Rouges reserve and the mirrored waters of Lac Blanc. Conclude your loop with a spectacular climb up Le Brévent at 2,525 meters before descending towards another rest day in the wonderful adventure hub of Chamonix. Here you will have time to experience the vibrant alpine city that blends extreme adventure with a lively French street culture.

Throughout the trip, relax in handpicked accommodation rich in local character, ensuring a restful night after each rewarding day on the trail. Your highly experienced tour leaders handle all the logistics, leaving you completely free to connect with the landscape, enjoy the local culture and get to know your fellow travellers.
