Your journey begins in Ushuaia, the world's southernmost city, nestled on the edge of Tierra del Fuego. After an overnight stay, you'll board
Ocean Explorer and set sail towards Antarctica. As you cross the Drake Passage, you'll have time to settle into life onboard, attend fascinating presentations from the expert Expedition Team and keep watch for seabirds and marine life as you approach the Antarctic Convergence.
Nothing prepares you for your first glimpse of Antarctica. Towering glaciers, sculpted icebergs and snow-covered mountains create a landscape unlike anywhere else on Earth. Over four incredible days, you'll explore the Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland Islands by Zodiac, landing on remote shores where few people ever set foot. Every expedition is different, with the route shaped by the weather, sea ice and wildlife encounters, making each voyage truly unique.
Come ashore to wander among bustling colonies of gentoo, Adélie and chinstrap penguins, visit historic research stations and marvel at vast glaciers that calve dramatically into the sea. Keep your camera ready as Weddell, crabeater, fur and leopard seals rest on the ice, while humpback whales, minke whales and even orcas may be spotted from the ship or during Zodiac cruises.
