This adventure has been developed with our close partners Quark Adventures and designed based on many years of experience travelling the region. Our journey begins in Ushuaia, on the southernmost tip of South America in Tierra de Fuego, unless you combine this trip with our Highlights of Patagonia trekking expedition for an unforgettable month-long adventure. For travellers unable to combine the two trips, we offer the option of a transfer package from Buenos Aires to our starting point in Ushuaia for just $1,500 per person.

Immerse yourself in the spectacle of massive penguin rookeries. Watch ‘teenage’ penguins learning to swim, harass their parents for food and play around. Witness humpback whales feeding and see their incredible ‘bubble nesting’ behaviour up close. These sturdy sea kayaks provide a unique experience to get up close to the coastline and navigate the icebergs, often allowing the opportunity to land and explore a penguin rookery or abandoned Antarctic base. Additionally, you can take the polar plunge for those seeking an extra thrill. Secured by harnesses and ropes, take your turn at jumping in to truly feel the exhilarating cold of Antarctica.
